Dragon Skies |
(2004) Joyce was commissioned to create musical soundtracks for Dragon Skies ,a major, NSF-funded exhibit of beautiful antique astronomical instruments never before seen outside of China. She composed background music for the exhibited items and an hour long planetarium show presenting stories behind the Chinese zodiac signs The exhibit and planetarium presentation were created by the Chabot Space & Science Center and toured eight sites across the United States. A Musical Celebration of Oakland |
(2005) Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Centennial celebration of 10 original songs about the history of the city (Oakland, California) and its famous people covering the 1905-2005. Joyce performed her music live at the celebration and was part of its ensemble of operatic singers. Deemed an “historical event” the Chamber has produced a CD of this music recorded at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, and her song book is now part of the Archives of the City of Oakland. |
